Yesterday we had a storm warning put into place saying that we would be receiving 8 to 11 inches of snow. This morning the alert is still there but they have revised the snow amount back to 4 to 8 inches. The alert goes on to let you know that we will experience wind chills of 0 to -5. I am glad that I didn’t plant out the vedge plants yesterday. Frost hit last night. This morning we have a stiff breeze and overcast skies and its 47 degrees. Occasionally you can see the blue and the sun. They have issued a freeze warning through Tuesday morning ( Read more... )

We purchased a yard of mulch yesterday and hauled it home. I way underestimated. Thank goodness I have some from last year left over that I will spread at the bottom of the drive today - if it quits raining!. That will get about 1/3 of the space done.
